Scholastic Materials & Reusable Pads Support

Scholastic Materials And Reusable Pads Support

The Scholastic Materials and Reusable Pads Support Programme is an education and child-wellbeing initiative of the Jonard Development Foundation (JDF). The programme works with primary schools in Western Uganda to improve access to basic learning materials and strengthen menstrual health support for schoolgirls.

Through coordinated school visits and community partnerships, JDF provides essential scholastic materials to vulnerable pupils and distributes reusable sanitary pads to girls who need safe, practical and sustainable menstrual hygiene support. Each intervention is accompanied by age-appropriate guidance on personal hygiene, proper use and care of reusable pads, confidence and help-seeking.

The programme reduces preventable barriers that affect classroom participation, learner confidence and continuity in education. It also supports schools and families to create safer, more inclusive and more supportive learning environments for children.
